What's included

What you get.

Committee support

Agendas, minutes, AGMs and reporting under the Association Rules — the meeting runs, the paperwork is done.

Council reporting

Financial reporting to Council and attendance at monthly meetings, in the format each council asks for.

Special Rate & Special Charge renewals

Trader surveys, workshops and the five-year business plan, taken through Council and the objection period.

Marketing plans & budgets

An annual plan and budget written with the committee, then managed and delivered line by line.

Trader database & communications

Every business on the strip onboarded, listed and kept informed — new openings, works, events and opportunities.

Invoicing, compliance & contractors

Invoicing and record-keeping, insurance and compliance, and the cleaning, graffiti and waste contractors kept to their word.

How it works

Discover, plan, deliver, report. A walk of the strip and an audit in the first month, a twelve-month plan and budget agreed with the committee by the second, then a monthly rhythm of delivery and a clear report at every meeting.

Also for councils and centres

Councils use us for precinct strategic plans, trader liaison and business-support programs during major works. Shopping centres get the same rhythm of planning, delivery and reporting for their centre marketing.

Recent work

Renewals and plans that went through.

Recent renewals: Watsonia, Eaglemont Village, Heidelberg Central, Rosanna Village and Brentford Square. Strategic plans: Kensington Business Association (2026) and Ballan & District Chamber of Commerce (2022), both securing continued council support.

Marmalade Sky managed the day-to-day work of the precinct — member communication and administration through to projects, reporting and Council liaison. They keep things moving and events on track.

When our Special Rate came up for renewal, Marmalade Sky ran the trader surveys, the workshop and the five-year business plan, and took it through Council. It went through with strong support from our traders — and a plan we can actually hold ourselves to.
